Hi, I'm Tom. A 16 year old from south east England with a passion for music, travel and writing. I have started this blog to document my life and share with you my journey.
I am currently studying English language, Media studies and Sociology for my A levels in the summer of 2022. I love to immerse myself in culture and society by finding out new things and exploring what's around me.
One of my favourite things is travel. My family and I have been very fortunate in the fact we have been able to travel so much ,however, with the COVID-19 pandemic in place we unfortunately can not do this and I really do miss it.
I love to find out about new cultures and groups of people. I have friends from all over the
world stretching from Taiwan to Canada, I love finding out about people's traditions and lifestyles. Exploring new places is so amazing. You get to see things you didn't know existed before and it's a sense of joy and achievement. Food from different cultures is one of my favourite things, trying and experiencing it. Every countries is so different and it's even better when we can bring a recipe back home with us!
I have been lucky enough to see so many animals from my experiences travelling. Everything from crocodiles, to butterflies and everything you can imagine in between. To the left is an image of some monkeys from Rajasthan, in India when we visited in 2018. Despite initially looking friendly they were surprisingly aggressive but so interesting to watch them.
The world is so beautiful if you look in the right places, one of my dreams is to travel to every country in the world. It's ambitious, but what's life without a bit of passion and desire.
For me, music is such an important part of my life. We all listen to music all the time and it's fascinating seeing everyone's styles in music and sounds. I personally love most types of music, however, some of my favourites are R&B, indie pop and alternative rock. In the future I'm hoping to write a post about music and my favourite artists and songs. I play saxophone and piano at the moment an I enjoy both of them a lot. It's a way to express myself without words and people can understand the meanings of it.
